Texture House bathroom

Leytonstone, London

At our project ‘Texture House’, the new family bathroom has been designed to be both calm and beautifully considered for everyday use. ‘Texture House’ is a unique project with part shell and core (by a main contractor) and part self build by the client.

The bathroom features bespoke fitted birch plywood joinery, ribbed panelling and fluted tiles, giving a range of textures and tones. The colour palette is restrained and windows lined with plywood reveals bringing warm light into the space.

The brief was to ‘create a room that also happened to be a bathroom’: somewhere to enjoy spending time, that was light and airy, and where function wasn’t compromised.
